Mr. Mohamed Khalifa A Al-Sada
He is one of the most experienced and respected senior professionals in the shipping and maritime industry of the State of Qatar. During his tenure at the government of the state of Qatar, he has been responsible in building the initial policies that defined the development of the ports for the state of Qatar. He is the ex-vice chairman of Qatar Shipping Company (Q-Ship). During his period at Q-Ship, the company expanded to becoming one of the largest ship owning and operating company in the region. He is also the ex-chairman of Qatar Quarries and Building Materials Company and is credited with commencing the first import of Gabbro into the state of Qatar. He has been instrumental in establishing S’hail Shipping and Maritime Services PQSC. His invaluable knowledge and net-work in the shipping and maritime sector will act as beacon for the growth of S’hail.
Chairman and Managing Director
He is an engineer with post graduation in organization studies. He has over 2 decades of hands-on experience in shipping and maritime sector. Before joining S’hail, he was operating over a billion dollar of shipping assets in Singapore. And, prior to that, during 2001 to 2005, he was the manager of business development and planning at Qatar Shipping Company (Q-Ship) where he was the key player in developing multi billion dollar expansion and diversification projects for Q-Ship involving various sectors / segments / aspects of shipping and maritime industry. He started his career in 1990 as a graduate engineer trainee at Essar Shipping Limited, Mumbai and since then he has accumulated wealth of knowledge in all aspects of shipping from options of financing, new-building, sale & purchase, insurance to ship management and chartering. He brings-in the expertise to S’hail to deliver high standards of services to its clients at the most competitive freights.
Mr. Rajiv Pal
Chief Executive Officer
He is a chartered accountant from the Institute of CA Srilanka. He is also qualified as bachelor of science in finance. He started his career in KPMG – Srilanka and was deputed in many other countries to perform financial reporting and auditing of the companies in various sectors. Prior joining S’hail, he was working at KPMG in Qatar. His expertise will contribute to safeguarding and maintaining the financial health of the company in accordance with international regulations and best practices.
Manager (Finance, Accounts and Office Administration)
He is qualified as Masters in Business Administration. Prior joining S’hail, he was working at Qatar Quarry and Building Materials Company for about 10 years. He has immense insight into the conduct of shipping business in Qatar as well as the regulations governing them. He contributes to S’hail in ensuring that the fleet complies with the Qatar flag regulation.
Mr. Haroon Ahmed
Head (Flag Administration)
He has done his Masters in Business Management and has gathered over a decade of experience in dry cargo operations while working at a leading dry bulk cargo ship owners / operators desk in Middle East. At S’hail, he is tasked with ensuring proper management of fixtures of the fleet, its insurances and claims.
